Recruitment – your data
Petalite take your data very seriously. We have set the following guidelines in regards to GDPR and your data during the recruitment process.
Any personal information and data* sent to Petalite via email, post or online platforms such as (and not limited to) LinkedIn or via third parties such as (and not limited to) universities and recruiters shall be stored in a secure location on Petalite’s server with access granted to relevant members of the Petalite team. On the rare occasion, we will only send CVs to third parties to aid with the recruitment of the applicant. Some key senior members of the Petalite team are located within the European union and will require access if the application is relevant to them.
Any data received during the recruitment process will be used for the sole purpose of recruiting. We will store this data securely for 12 months from the application date. We store this because as the company grows, we would like to review CVs that have been sent to us in case a candidate is suitable for another role. Please allow for 30 days after the 12-month cut-off date for Petalite to remove your data.
Successful applicant’s data will only be shared with Petalite’s selected third parties for security and background checks.
Please note that by applying for any position at Petalite, you are agreeing that Petalite can store and review your personal data as outlined in this recruitment policy notice.
For the highest protection of your data, we suggest sending any files in a read only format via the advised avenue as advertised within the job description. Please be aware that files supplied in editable formats, for instance (and not limited to), PDFs or Word documents, we will not knowingly make changes to the content and treat all personal data held within those documents privately and confidentially, and only on a need-to-know basis within the Petalite team or relevant third party if involved in the recruitment process.

*Personal data is considered (and not limited to) names, gender, ethnicity, email address, date of birth, phone numbers, postal addresses, third party data such as (and not limited to) referees, previous company data, and emergency contact data. The data may be documented in the form of (and not limited to) email correspondence, CVs, application forms and cover letters.
